Project: Hides Hotel Refurbishment, Cairns

Hides Hotel Logo

In June 2018 we supplied the Hides Hotel with over 200 table lamps for their recently refurbished rooms, which featured twin USB sockets on the base, enabling guests to recharge their smartphones and tablets during their stay without the complication of chargers and adaptors.

Hides Hotel CEO

These lamps are the first of their kind to be designed for and introduced to the Australian hotel market by one of our lighting suppliers, an Australian owned and operated company based in Victoria. They have been quick to respond to our needs and very professional in handling our business. Their CEO, has been a delight to work with and was more than willing to help unpack and check the lamps were in good working order before they were placed in the hotel rooms.

We had some minor design issues with the lamps in the initial stage of our order, but these were very quickly resolved when our staff visited their factory in Guangdong, China to carry out quality control.

Hides Hotel now have a bedside lamp in all of their rooms, with USB Ports which can be used with an Android phone or tablet or an iPhone or iTablet – no more issues with forgotten chargers, or adaptors in the case of international travellers. For guests from the US where 110 v is the standard voltage, they can safely charge their phone or tablet using this international USB port connected to a current of 240v.

In addition to the table lamps, Resortium Concepts also supplied 70 King Zip Bed ensembles for the newly refurbished rooms, using AH Beard’s King Koil pillow top mattress brand.

We successfully completed our assignment later in the year.
